S5 book?

I was a great fan of David Thorpes book on the menu structure of the G9. I learned a lot about the corners and alleyways of a powerful but complex camera. I have moved up to the the g9II and was hoping there was a similar book for the G9II (or SS which has a similar menu system). Alas David Thorpe passed several years ago. Anyone put out a similar book (chapter, article or website). As usual the manual is cryptic.
