great idea! But we have to remember not suffocate him with only a million 828 guestions! Let's give that dude a little space also and other topics besides the 828

I'd tried getting in touch with him about three weeks ago. Was he away on assignment or teaching a class, perhaps? Couldn't reach him.

My guess, however, just so everyone knows: He probably was using a very early pre-pro model for that video. Unless Sony continued to supply him with updated models over time, he may not have a lot of comments about finished features and performance.

In other words, this guy is a "real" photographer, and he's probably less concerned about the technical and more concerned about whether the camera simply allows him to get the shot off with satisfactory results.

Hopefully the forum will give him a break once he does come online.

i tried to prepare him as best as possible ;> i even told him that there might be some posts from folks who cough cough prefer dslr's over the 828, and actually have something to say about it! let's hope that folks behave

I only count 736,283 F828 questions to date, not 1 million, and of those, 735,924 are all variants of the same basic 6 questions or statements regarding delivery date, CA, 8 megapixels, lens sharpness, why they didn't improve noise, why they didn't use a larger sensor and the Canon Digital Rebel or D10. That leaves 359 questions not related to the above, of which 356 were mostly dumb questions, leaving 3 GOOD questions.

Anybody remember what they were????

to learn more about himself. I'm not sure about the F828 quality related question though. As with Phil, I don't know if Jerry can and is allowed to give comments on a pre-prod unit. Beside, unlike Phil, Jerry is hired by Sony for that promo-video. I afraid he is bounded by some restrictions as other independent reviewers don't have.

In anycase, I'm glad to have an expert on board to share his knowledge. Forget about the camera for now.

I'm with you Lance. Jerry's insight will be the greatest asset. In probably a few weeks everyone and their brother will have and know everything there is to know about the 828. I want to know everthing that Jerry knows. I will be in line to (virtually) shake his hand and say welcome.
