Even with your stated limitations you got some good captures. The ongoing joke in my family is I can never bring the right lens or camera in every situation. Ideally if I had a small trailer, I could carry everything and be prepared for anything.

Oh yeah! I somehow didn't even consider that it might catch people out - these figures are everywhere in the town here so you just get used to them. "Everyday people" they're called, an art installation.

One observation is in pic#3 at 1/1250s the wings still show motion blur. They must be flapping at a real high rate!

Correct Bob. Lots of wind keeps them in the air as the can't glide.

After picking up my son at Edinburgh airport, we visited Lauriston Castle, which is a short distance away…. Impressive building and gardens with a great tour guide…well worth a visit.

Fujifilm X-Pro2 with Viltrox 27mm f/1.2 and Fujifilm 16mm f/2.8 R WR.

Old furniture / fittings and colour schemes + fujifilm colours = a great match….

Hand held, braced against a railing…impressed with the result

Dining room…. Several rooms were dark beyond belief…this was one of them…

Beautiful gardens…

Place to entertain /impress guests…

Gardens overlooking Cramond Island, that you can walk to when the tides out….got to time it right though…

I keep stopping at this and it took me a bit to understand why. First I thought simply because she is so attractive but while very true it's actually the colors and level of sharpness I love here. Love the texture and colors on the mic in particular.
