I am posting concert images for another week. These are from a performance of George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, which is like a piano concerto with a lot of jazz influence. I have recorded at that particular concert hall a few times, and I always find the lighting challenging.

Just back from a walking holiday in the Dolomites that ended at Lake Garda followed by 2 days in Verona.

The Rheinkirmes, or “Largest Fair on the Rhine,” is held every July on the Oberkassel Rhine meadows in Düsseldorf‑Oberkassel. It spans 165,000 m² and features a 4.5 km carnival strip with over 300 rides and stalls, attracting nearly 4 million visitors each year .
It traces its roots back to around 1435, originally part of the St. Apollinaris patron saint celebrations, and has evolved into a major multi-day event since moving to its current location in 1901

Some pictures of the Grand Canyon Lodge from the end of August and the beginning of September 2024. It burnt down today, 13 July 2025. The pictures were from my trip last fall. I feel for those that lost a place to live and work. Ya, many were temps, but many were full time.
coffee shop in the morning and bar in the evening. A nice place to hang out.
A bronse sculpture and some of the room as you walk from the viewing room into the lodge. A little bit of history. I am sure most of this was lost. I will be able to see the canyon again but the art and work of craftsmen that made this place is part of what made it special. Also all the people that worked and lived here. My hart goes out to them.
