Yes, 17.5 is a fix. You have download the new version of Lr also, (if you use it). If anyone has questions on just how well this feature can work, compared to the older versions, they would do well to download the two examples in the Dpreview review. The 2nd image of the pine trees, (which was the file that had the Adobe error originally) now opens clean. What needs to be looked at are the pine needles. Fine green lines, which often if not always create havoc with a uprez, multishot solution. They come out fine in this image, at 100% and really hold up at 200%.
What many don't seem to realize is that many times you do not need the full resolution of 178MP (I can't remember the exact amount), but if down res the full sized image to around 100MP, the files do extremely well. Much better IMO than taking the normal output of 45MP and using Adobe Super Resolution or similar software to get to 100MP.
Wind is still an issue for sure, but the solution that Panasonic came up with just seems to handle the issues of slight motion much better.
