Happy 16th Birthday to Rosie. She is our longest lived poodle ever, surpassing Dolly’s age of 14 and Sunny’s age of 13. Our Cockapoo Sadie was about 8 when we said goodbye.

It has been our goal for the last year to see Rosie make it to her 16th. We may be saying goodbye soon, but are taking things day by day as we think seriously about her current quality of life.

She has her loved ones around her. That helps.

A whole flock! I love the photo with the baby, and the second photo with the ocean in the background, and the way the land curves around.

Haven't been posting pics much since I'm using my phone a lot more. Some from my disappointing short trip to the Intrepid Museum to catch the Coasy Guard rescue demo. Didn't happen since they were caught up in a real rescue elsewhere. Over 2 hours of waiting before that news was broadcast ... but it was a really beautiful sunny day with little humidity.

She looks good. There's nothing quite like an old dog who has been there, done that with you. Joy certainty si a major part of my soul, with her 11th birthday coming up this month. They just don't live long enough. If I was King, one of my first decrees would be for dogs and people to have the same lifespan Smaller dogs tend to live longer. I've never had a Brittany go over 15 years.

Nice shots! Nothing wrong with phone camera - it's the Indian, not the arrow.

Thanks Greg!

I mistakenly gave the impression that I shot these pics with the phone. What I meant to say was that I gave not been using much the laptop to which I transfer my pics from the rx100 7 and then upload to Dpreview. I do use the phone though for pic taking and video and it is quite convenient since the pp software is included.

I should spend a little more time with it though as I need it for some other important stuff.

She got her annual birthday cookie! We didn’t quite make it through her happy birthday video without getting teary eyed, but then all the dogs got to go outside and play together. Rosie enjoyed walking and sitting in the grass, I think.

I wish they lived as long as us, too. I was 23 when we got Rosie, and now I’m 39. She’s been with us through it all…the loss of Dolly when Rosie was 6 months old, getting Sunny her lifelong companion just two days later. Losing Sadie, then my older sister, then Sunny, all within a 4.5 year period. Plus, she’s been here to welcome not just Sunny, but Sadie, Sammy, Allie, Buddy, Buffy, and Sissy. She’s lived to see three presidents, and four election cycles! She’s gone on short trips, met our other family members’ dogs, learned lots of tricks, and more.

Thanks to Courtney for gracefully guiding us through last week's show&tell&critique!
