2 weeks of horrible weather...

doesn't look more cheerful in colour (added grain and vignette for more miserable mood, if it could be)
Excellent! I think this photo deserves to be seen at full size to express its atmosphere.

Thanks for kind words (both of you). This place is usually swarmed with people. I was walking from the job with the shoulder bag, moderately sized box under the armpit and the umbrella in the hand when noticed nobody on the street. I wished to take lower perspective but advised myself against that idea - not only I am near retirement age but loosing the balance and having not just wet feet seemed as a bad idea.

And yes, it looks much better on my upright monitor, real grit.

Wow! Really impressive. It's a pity I only have my smartphone to appreciate. I can't wait to see these photos on my monitor.

Thanks for the photographic trip!

Great photo!👍. I especially like the perspective, composition, colors and textures - well, everything about it!

Nice photo! Excellent composition.

Unreal shots of nature! It's a pity that the quality is not enough :(
Sorry for asking, 'not enough' for what?

I have decades of printing experience and just by looking them at 27" monitor and cast to 65" 4K TV I know they would be enough for a moderately large print if desired. That is what counts, not examining them on the pixel level.

Personally, I am enjoying my trips way more now carrying the phone only, compared to times when I had a bag full of gear prioritising photography over experience. YMMW

Don't take his words too seriously: I think Truncia is only joking. Indeed, image quality is excellent viewed on my 24' monitor.

We finally had a break in the weather, some Sun! Yay!

Had a job to attend in outskirts of Sydney (that's Australia). I'm a fairly tall guy when I noticed this garden snail at the top of fig tree, some 4 meters above the ground. What I thought of is the snail speed - did the tree grow quicker than he climbed.....?

Further down the road, noticed these two pony , scratching each other's 'back'. I stopped but they were too interested in me and started walking towards the fence. Pity I didn't have some apple or the carrot. Anyway, they both got a pat and here is the picture to show.

And that is the beauty of having the phone camera with you all times. Neither photo means anything to anyone, even myself included - apart from the pleasure taking them. Which made my day nicer.

Cheers!

The problem is that these photos are presented on the Dpreview website and can only be viewed on a monitor screen, not printed. We are not talking about how they will look in print, right?
And this is in no way a complaint about the author - the photos are beautiful. But for beautiful shots, SOOC JPG is not always acceptable.

P.S. I also have experience, and I also no longer carry a bag with equipment, but rely only on a smartphone.

+1 Those are enjoyable photos to view. Having a phone at all times really opens up our seeing, doesn't it?
