I don't have very many doors, but here's one from a few months ago on a night walk in the city. For some reason, I felt compelled to set-up the tripod and take the shot. So here it is!

I LOVE photographing doors, especially old ones, have tons, started going thorough my files and then I remembered, nothing beats the Gates of Paradise by Ghiberti! Made in bronze between 1425 and 1452 and weigh 3 tons and named by Michelangelo, yes, that guy! These are the original ones, resting inside the Opera del Duomo museo.

Another door in Firenze. The real, original David is in Galleria dell'Academia just up the street.

Cool capture. I think all the lines- even the way the lights (and reflection of lights) line up are so strongly geometric and somehow satisfying. The only thing I see that might not fit is the security camera. Maybe if you look closely- there seems to be a trash can just inside the door to the left as well, but that is seriously nitpicking.

I took a quick look and found some others. Didn't realize I actually had "door" shots and hadn't really thought about it as a "thing" but maybe it is? :-)

Thanks! You're making me laugh! :-)

I took this picture this morning, at the Amsterdam Olympic Stadium.
I realy liked the contrast of the bright red doors and the reflection of the greenery.

As most of us will not remember the 1928 Olympic Summer games were held in Amsterdam at this stadium. The stadium was buiult in 1927, so almost 100 years ago. It is still in use, and below the stadium there is a parking garage where I park my car whenever I go to Amsterdam.

If you like doors, go to San Miguel de Allende in Mexico. This is only one example.
