Hi,

Some photos below from a beautiful day yesterday spent in the Lake District - ascending from Brother's Water and then making our way over to Fairfield before descending via Hartsop-above-How.

I typically shoot Raw, but decided to play around with some Film Simulation yesterday, and quite like the 'hazy summer's day' feel to these. SOOC apart from crop and minor contrast edits.

Was using DR400, hence higher than expected ISO for the light.

Very nice series. Well done 👍

Nice set. I particularly enjoyed the sheep lounging by the tractor.

I like the twisted, blooming tree on the hillside. Do you know what kind of tree it is? It's interesting.

Nice series. Like that hazy/faded feel you mentioned, but still has nice color to it.

Lovely images Andrew, I really like the one with the purple flowers in the foreground and the lake with just the perfect mountains and blue pastel sky. Would make a pretty nice print :)

Cheers

Nice images. Were they all taken with the 23mm lens or did you use any of the teleconvertors?

Yep - definitely Hawthorn.

There were a lot still in peak flower on the fells - lower down they seem to be past their best now, but I suspect the cooler temperatures on the hills mean they're running a bit behind, and are still full of flower.

Hi,

I do own both the convertors, but in this instance they were all shot without, although there was some cropping - particularly the one with the tractor.

If I'd had the WCL with me then I would have attached it for a couple of them, just to give a bit more space. Zooming with the feet was the order of the day instead!
