I'm a beginner who just started using a film camera. These photos were taken with my family's old film camera. However,I noticed something like light leakage in the lower left corner.Does anyone know what's wrong?

Most of the photos have this issue. But strangely,a few photos don't have it,even the light is strong.

Hi.

How did you scan the pictures? From slides or negatives? Does that "light leak" appear also in the slides/negatives?

The picture below is a magnified view of the bottom left corner of your first picture. There is a narrow stripe between the black edge of the frame and the "leak" that looks normal (it's the same in your second picture). If the white bit were caused by a light leak in the camera, then the leak should be happening very close to the negative, because the edge of that stripe is very sharp. There aren't many places inside the camera where this can happen, which makes me wonder if this is due to the scanning process.

This is the photo sent by the shop that developed my film, and the issue is already on the negative.

You described the camera as an old film camera. What brand and model is it?

It's a light leak. That corner is the top right of the gate, so check that part of the camera, inside and out.

it's samsung fino 1050s
Well, if it is a light leak try covering the film window on the back and also the latch channel in that area. It may also be a problem with the zoom lens seal but that will be more difficult to repair.

Good luck.

If it is a light leak and it’s white rather than orange/red then it’s likely coming from the front of the camera. Light leaks from the back go through the base of the film and are normally orange / red (like redscale film). Obviously this is only for colour film. If it’s a reflection then presumably it’s coming through the lens.

The stripe of correctly exposed negative between the edge of the frame and the leak must be due to the film gate shadowing the light leak. This would imply that the leak comes from the front of the camera (rather than from the back door), upper right side (looking at the camera from the back)

If you can, check inside the camera for a small bit of something blocking a corner of the opening before the film.

In some, not in others - similar light. You may have a bit of something in the corner.

You should read the rest of the thread. Something blocking the corner would have left a light area on the negative, not dark.
