When the lens was announced, I was curious but always thought I would want a faster telephoto prime. Then I started seeing some of your images here and decided to try renting one from the Fujifilm loan program in the UK. Well, after just 48 hours with it, I was convinced. I took the lens to Richmond Park in London and was amazed by the handling, size/weight, and, most importantly, the image quality.

Here are a handful from that first outing:

I've added more samples and some initial thoughts (including finding a case and filters) here: https://fujiframe.com/articles/fuji-500mm-f5.6-review#intro

Ooh that final image is just exquisite. The whole set is great but the last one is chef’s kiss.

Great advertisement for the lens.

Yup, we should not keep 'liking' images from this lens!

The UK Fuji loan service is exemplary. I have used it for lenses and bodies and on occasions ended up buying the product.

Richmond Park is an excellent location for deer. We go there quite a lot.

Great image.
This is a really fun image!
One seldom sees this type of scene in the UK. Another excellent and, if I may say, unique image.

Congratulations. Paired with the H2s, it’s an excellent wildlife setup. Nice photos.

Thanks. Richmond really is excellent, especially when the deer put on a show like this.

Seconded. Morris's bird images with this lens are superb.

I don't think it's the lens, tbh. Someone at the same location was holding a light-sensitive box and stored a digital representation of the situation.

Thank you,

I have images taken with every long lens I've owned that have won awards.
