This January 2025 when I joined this dpr m4/3 forum, I was a bit taken aback to find there's no such current thread series. I was too new here at the time to start such a series. After 2 months here, sharing various m4/3 photographs, (I very much appreciate your likes 🍻 ☕), I feel more comfortable to start such a series with Tom's encouragement and your much appreciated participation.

🍻 ☕

A good idea.

However in this fortnight it was flower, flower & flower only to me because it was the blooming season right now ! Since late February, I had visited 3 local parks for various flowers, from the usual spices to the seasonal trumpet trees, Bauhinia and the late cherry blossom. In last few days I was busy in the local annual flower show for the daytime shooting. Might go there again tomorrow for the light shooting.

Therefore sorry nothing suitable to share here right now.

What a great cheap entry into wildlife photography this lens is. Found this black Abert's Tree Squirrel snacking on a banana peel while hiking in Boulder, Colorado. Processed and AI'd in Lightroom.

I suspect the 75-300 is a gateway drug to more telephoto lenses because I'm already dreaming of more reach! And better autofocus; half the shots were out of focus...Maybe an OM-1 with Subject Detect AF would help...... :-P

Also Spring Grove. PL12-60. I liked the single upright branch starting to bud, with other trees and colors out of focus in the background.

Some recent shots from a local annual flower show which might be classified as landscape photo rather than flower photo(?) :-)
They're fine 👍 for this thread series. Enjoyable. :-)

Good one!

Still coming back from a bad case of the flu combined with a cold that took my daughter out of work for a week. So, I didn't get out much. Besides it is early Spring and in the frozen white North of Virginia, the outdoors still have little to offer.

I did go on a walk and saw this egret. Alas, my longest lens with me was an O. 75 f1.8. Skittish thing took off as soon as I snapped one of it standing in the afternoon light.

He/she immediately flew off and I snagged a few as it flew away to muddier pastures. On C-AF (no TR) and it held focus pretty well (only a couple poorly focused shots from a burst of about 20).

A few days later I took my O. 60 f2.8 macro out for a walk at a nearby botanical gardens (Meadowlark). It was a refreshing walk but little aesthetically pleasing vegetation.
