Pretty good selection of lenses and bodies, but no 100-400ii, or 150-600, or 150-400. (Not that I expected any of those lenses to be discounted.)

While the OM-1ii+12-40ii at ~$1920 is tempting, I'd have to sell something to make room in my stuffed dry cabinet...

Unfortunately the regular prices at the refurb store are higher than sale prices on new stuff, so even though 20% off is lower it's not enough lower to get me to buy.

The warranty on the refurbished equipment is not two years in the US.

I have noticed that pricing situation as well on many items.

Is $1511 a good deal on an OM-1 Mark II in "as new" condition directly from OM System? Am I missing a better place for a better price? Having a touch of buyers remorse at the moment.

Well, MPB is asking about $1750 for Like New OM-1ii so sounds good to me.

Way back in the seventies every boy wanted a Trans Am.

The next lowest model was the Formula.

The Formula, was actually lighter, and had a fiberglass hood, and came with everything, except Sally Fields.

Formulas were a few hundred dollars cheaper.

For only $500 more you get a brand new OM3.

Does the OM3 come with a Sally Field equivalent...?

Asking for a friend...

The Formula model was held over to sell more Trans Ams.

Theoretically the lighter Formula was the quicker drag racer.

But you needed a geniune Trans Am to pick up Sally Field.

Once you get an OM3 the Sallies might come to you, you won’t ever know until you spend only five hundred dollars more than an OM1.2.
Damn you and thank you.

Thanks for starting my day with a smile! That is a great part of a favorite movie.

"What's she wearing now? Come back. Hey, you got peanut butter or somethin' in your ears? Tell me what that girl's got on. Her mind?"
