I like the integrated LEDs on the front of the underwater lens - but would they provide enough illumination to be worthwhile? A strobe outputs orders of magnitude more light than any LED.

Now the ranger finder I could see being a real possibility, and I'd consider one particularly the second to the last one. Although IDK if I'd want the typical digital version of a rangefinder with EVF or maybe more the Nikon S style but with an OVF/hybrid OVF more in the middle....

But I'm still hoping Nikon will make an Fuji X-E type camera at some point (FF or apsc).

for more accurate AF , a strobe is always needed, I think.

a digital S2 with z mount would be nice

Dang, these are sweet! I hope Nikon is watching this thread and taking some pointers!

I thought i had read somewhere that Nikon (and other manufacturers) do somewhat watch large forums. Now whether any of those turn into actual ideas or fixes I don't know, but I think they're watching at least at the 30,000 ft level.

I mean I think that's how we got some of the features in the Z II cameras, like a proper grip, USB-C power and a second card slot.. enough people complained in forums that they likely realized that the next round needed at least some of these features (although we got them all, plus some others).

But I think all manufacturers are watching the big communities for ways to improve their products or for new product ideas perhaps. (They may not interact as to not pursuade discussions in any direction, but I'm sure there are people out there, maybe even on here, who are from Nikon corporate, and then they also have their ambassadors too which I'm sure some are on the forums as well -- maybe not DPR specifically but in general).
