Really interesting composition! Nice use of the ultra wide focal length.

Nice shot with the ultra-wide angle. I don't see much perspective distortion. Did you use the Rokinon 12mm?

Thank you Greg! Indeed taken with the Rokinon 12mm f/2. I made sure to point the lens towards the horizon which takes care of perspective distortions.

Keep practicing portraits with natural and ambient light

If you have any suggestions, please feel free to give them. It will be greatly appreciated.🙏
Nice set. In my view, the model's skin has too much smoothing (skin looks unnatural). Not a great idea to crop hands or joints - either leave them whole in the frame or crop them out. Also, the last pic is overexposed as already noted.
Hi Mr.io :

Thanks for your advice.
I will make sure to avoid cropping the model's hands next time.
On the day of the shoot, I was so focused on finding the right lighting that I neglected the composition.
I will pay more attention to this aspect in my future photography. Thank you very much.
🙏

The weather is still quite dreary in the Baltic States without any sunshine and/or snow, but we still decided to go to Latvia and visit Europe's widest waterfall, measuring at around 249 meters. It's in the small town of Kuldiga and I decided to take my trusty XF 18-55mm which hadn't been seeing much action since I was dedicating some time to learn shooting with telephoto lenses.

One of the waterfalls in the city center. Stabilization on XF 18-55mm is quite nice

The main waterfall is not tall, but boy is it wide

Very nice! How did you get the starbursts around the lights - did you use a starburst filter or just stop down? The EXIF says f1?

Thank you! The lens doesn't communicate with the camera so it doesn't properly record the aperture value, unfortunately. I stopped it down to f/11 or so; no starburst filter was used. The lens has distinctive 6-pointed starbursts.

Had a nice trip to Marseille (France), it's quite a nice place for street photography.

The moment the osprey came up with the fish was photobombed by a canada goose yet I'm happy to have gotten these images.

Great capture, looks like it dined on catfish that day. I like seeing the band on its leg, too.
