I’m quite happy to see this dial there.
Me, too. This begins to feel more like a Pen F follow-on all the time.

I totally agree. I have the OM-1.2 and the OM-5. The OM1.2 is my serious camera. The OM-5 is my social/family outing camera. With the OM-5 I miss the joystick, Subject AI and the new menus. The upcoming camera with the creative dial might be wasted for me. It looks likethere is no joystick. It looks like it might be closer in size yo the OM-1.2. So it just might not be a camera for me. Still it is nice to see OMDS releasing a new camera.

Still not the Pen F replacement.

From the headline “Born to create’ and the prominence of the Creative dial (straight from the Pen F parts bin), and the lack of a front grip (just like the Pen F), I think the lineage is pretty clear. What’s inside is all that remains a question, as far as I’m concerned. But, I don’t expect it to be the OM1-light that some were hoping for.
Hey! I’m right here. lol 😆

I wish they would have been more creative with their brand name!

Maybe the accounting department came up with that..

It looks like an OM-5 with a colour dial.

okay, so looks like its official now.

Honestly, from afar it looks like a mix between the OM-5 and a Pen-F, I'm hoping for a significant spec bump from the OM-5, at least on the processor side of things.

This is the first new camera line that we see since the buyout, it would be a shame if it doesn't have the new menu system and new features implemented in the OM-1ii

Hopeing to see a metal build, too. One can only hope. If it has one, it would potentially be an upgrade path to look forward to after my E-M5ii stops being enough (probably geting one used, in a few years depending on how good it is)
This is the make or break for m4/3 for me. If it's not a compact body competitive with the X-T50, X-S10, and a6700, then the system is truly dead, dead to me.

The current U.K. prices for those make this a tough market - 26-40Mpix, APSC and the AF capabilities of the A6700.

There is a lot of speculation about an RX1Riii.

This is surely make or break. One might worry that the camera will try and appeal to too many segments and not be attractive enough for any of them.

Maybe it has the G9ii sensor. That would be interesting.

That's the reality though. It is a competitive market.

If it comes with a plastic body with no significant upgrades to my OM5's and is priced over 1500 US, I'm off to Nikon for my travel photography. I'm hoping for the best -

Yeah, a lot of street shooters won't like the swivel screen.

I'm not sure I buy the scaling you've used. Why are the strap lugs so much larger?

I can hardly deny that, given my gear list!
