Photos look great! Still thinking if I want to get this since I already have the 12mm but one could never go wrong wide haha.

Thanks!

The 9mm is a fun lens. It's the first lens I've had that goes wider than 12, and I think the difference between 9 and 12 is very substantial. That said, having a prime at such an extreme focal length makes it quite niche. Sometimes I wonder if it wouldn't have made more sense to get one the 9-18's instead, but this is weather sealed and f1.7 both of which open up possibilities.

Nicely done, I have had the 9mm f1.7 for a few months and it is a fun and rewarding lens.

I don't think that you have overcooked the PP at all. These photos look great & are well suited to a B&W presentation.

The Lumix 9mm is a good , small MFT wide angle lens. The wide angle zooms may give greater versatility but they are significantly larger & heavier.

Thanks a lot! I appreciate the vote of confidence. Iv’e enjoyed recently just taking primes with me: 9, 20 and 50 or 75. Practically speaking zooms are more versatile but when I’m not shooting moving subjects, taking the time to think about what lens I want to use can be part of the fun.

Hi,

If you encounter photography as a technical skill, you may (try to) find an objective 'right'. But if you look at it as a creative process (or even 'art' if you're bold enough), then it's all about the creators intent and vision. In that case there is no 'too much' or 'right amount of' PP - it's your choice and up to personal taste if a viewer likes it or not.

It indeed is a fun lens, the 9mm AOV can give a nice sense of depth as the first image demonstrates.

Enjoy!

Very true. Slowly I will have gain confidence in my own taste. Or at least that’s the goal.

thanks for the perspective.
