As in 2024, I invite you to join me for a 52 project (this will be the sixth time I've taken part in this type of project, always with the same pleasure; to see my photos from the last three, click on https://bratpix.wordpress.com/projet-52/).

Each week, everyone will post a photo taken the previous week in this thread. These photos will be open to discussion, in the warm and constructive spirit that is one of the charms of DPReview.

You can join this project whenever you like, and no one will make eyes at you if you're late one week or miss it altogether.

As far as I'm concerned, I'll try to post my contributions on Wednesdays, like today. Ideally, you should choose the days on which you'd like to contribute so that this thread moves as often as possible.

Your "1/52" is an excellent start... very nice! Great perspective and depth. Although I'm guessing the moving walkway is flat/level, it feels like it is rising into the distance. And the slight offset angle makes it even more interesting. Well done! 20mm. LOL.

I am very much in favor of the "collective" format (rather then separate posts). Great idea. It is similar to what we did years ago in the Landscape & Travel form (panoramas and trains). When Vol. 1 hits "149" replies, we roll into Vol. 2, etc. THANK-YOU for kicking things off and thanks for the invitation! :-) I will aim for a Thursday contribution.

Hmm, I'd like to take you up, we'll see. At the very least, or very most, you have posted a wonderful photograph. Red means stop. Despite this site of travel.
Thank you Timothy. You are very welcome.

Thank you John. Thank you also once more for introducing me to this marvelous lens. I am looking forward to discovering your first contribution.

It is indeed a flat walkway. You feel it is rising because the corridor behind is takin a turn sharp enough for you to see its wall.

Happy New Year! I am thankful for the invitation and happy to step into a Project 52 journey for 2025. This is a great motivational mechanism... to get out with the camera on a regular basis. FUN. To start, a train picture may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it is "me" (to some extent, photo-wise). I like the urban industrial environment. It's actually quite peaceful (usually nobody else around). A fair amount of cropping on this one to eliminate the extraneous distractions on the left and right sides of the frame.

Hi John. Very nice picture, as usual. You were lucky that the trains did not move for 30 seconds, were'nt you? The larger version of your picture is reached via your gallery page. I am not familiar with this approach but it has the obvious advantage of making a lot of your pictures available. Food for thoughts, as they say.

Hi all,

I might give this a go.

Where should I post my weekly contribution?

I thought the original post on this topic suggested that there would be a thread under which all contributions would be put. Collective 2025 Project 52 ===> Week 1====> your post, my post, etc.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Dan

Either is fine, into BratPix Post or individually as I myself Post… It’s the image that matters…🍷

Nice to hear from you, Sir! Thanks for the reply. This is "it" -- I would put your contributions in THIS thread. :-) Call it... "1/52" then "2/52" etc. -- appended with some sort of title or "hint" as to the content. Always replying to the original post (to keep things logical and copasetic). I believe this will be more fun and beneficial than having numerous separate posts in the Samples and Galleries forum. When we hit "149" (per DPR limit) -- then we can start Vol. 2, etc. Your pictures would be most welcome! Frankly it would be a little "weird" if it is only Bratpix and me posting here. But we would continue to carry on nevertheless (I am sure of that). It would be VERY nice to have Leica Eye and tshapiro (or anyone else) post their "weekly pic" here too! Basically... your favorite pic of the week. For Leica Eye... in fact, my "1971-M5" username is an ode to the Leica M5 -- the first (real) camera I ever had. Along with a Summilux 35/1.4 and a Summicron 90/2. And then an R3 after that. Long story. Anyway... please feel welcome to join in. I took Bratpix up on his invitation for a Project 52 last year (on another site) and it was a great experience.

Beautiful. It's plant life. It's growth. It's survival. Hope for a new day. It's wood (fence boards). It's black and white. Texture and contrast with sun and shadows. It feels right! Cool. Let's keep this going man! I promise to get out and take a picture every week. For a year! 1/52 - xyz. 2/52 - xyz. 3/52 - xyz. Etc. I think it will be fun. Before you know it, everyone at DP Review will be coming over for a look! LOL. :-)

You may post your contributions as replies to my original post, under the title Collective Project 52 for 2025. If we all do this, the collective in the title will become justified ;).

I suggest each of us start each of their following contributions by an indication of how far they have got. Something like

Project 52, Week X.

I think the collective road is interesting to try, and this is what you just did LE, didn't you? Now, every one of us is free to choose where they post, of course.
