So where are ya guys?

I am in New York. What about you guys?

By the way, I like "romantic" landscapes in addition to doing
portraits for family and friends. It seems like central park is the
only place in the city to go to (I've been to a few other places
that are picture-worthy). Anybody around the tri-state area know of
any places with a beautiful scenery?

Well back home there in 5 days anyways :), in New York at the minute,

I like to focus on landscapes but there's hardly anything at all to photograph around here.

Other than: the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, The Presidio, Sausalito, Marin county beaches, Napa Valley, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, Monterey, Santa Cruz, Big Sur, Point Reyes, Bodega Bay.....hardly anything at all. :)

I love the tristate area. Grew up in Rockland. Lived in Westchester. I'm new to photography, so I haven't photographed all these places. But my favorite scenic/romantic places are:

Bear Mountain, Harriman State Park (7 lakes), lower Hudson Valley along 9W. There is a rest stop in Alpine on the Palisades Parkway that has some stunning views of the city and Westchester.

Jersey City views of NYC (Liberty State PArk)

Brooklyn Bridge (I call this the Sex & the City shot)

Long Island Sound in Rye, walking along the rocks

All are within a 1-2 hour drive of the city.
