Adobe price changes in January

Unless you switch to paying for the full year upfront. Then it remains the same.

I expected one day that the price would increase for new customers. I also expected a price increase for existing customers. Fortunately mine renewed last month so I'm good for almost a year. Then I'll just go back to paying annually like I did since 2018. Last year I changed it to monthly. I know I'll never pay an equivalent of $15 per month. If that ever happens to me I'll find something else.

I'm keeping my older version of LR for £0 per year.

Keep an eye out in Amazon's frequent sales. I bought 12-month photography plan licence back in July for £71.99 as opposed to the regular £119.99. These licences can be added to your account anytime and extend your plan.

I've also had luck getting a discount from "retentions" if you go through the cancellation process close to the plan's expiry date.

HOLY SMOKES!!! They almost doubled the rate here in Sweden. That's it...I'm done.

One of the notes for 2025 includes improved culling, “dramatically streamline this process.” Adobe AI will automatically identify the best photos. This should be interesting.

Personally, I’m excited to see what the 421,368th filter pack that they add to LRm looks like. I mean the 421,367 that they have given us already and called a “new enhancement” just isn’t enough. Maybe when they get to 500,000 filter packs they can concentrate on getting LRm into feature parity with LRc/LR?

Trying to be clever but just sounds confusing.

So despite your title, for Lightroom and Lightroom Classic, no change in pricing if you opt for the annual payment.
Opting to annual IS a pricing “change”.
A trivial pricing change that most people won't even notice. How much bank interest are you losing by paying up front rather than monthly? I don't know, maybe $1.12 USD? I spend more than that in a few days on unhealthy snacks.

You are missing the point entirely by focusing on just the monetary amount.

"We will continue to support this plan for existing customers, however this plan will no longer be available to new customers."

This is all coming along slowly as I anticipated. I am just sad that this is now a reality.
The Creative Cloud subscriptions were introduced around 2016, it is now almost 2025 that's nine years without pricing increases (in the USA). If you opt for the annual plan, still no pricing increases.

About your comment "this is all coming along slowly as I anticipated" ... well I don't know what YOU Annie Ng anticipated, but most people at the time predicted dramatic and horrifying price increases (not slowly increasing prices) once Adobe had you "locked in", and that clearly hasn't happened.

Slowly increasing prices is something that almost every company does, and to me isn't terrible or objectionable. I would like to live in a world where prices (almost) never go up, but none of us live in that world and will never live in such a world.
Btw, what's the use of 1TB plan if I cannot use it as a cloud drive?
If you just use LrC, then the 1TB plan has no benefit over the 20GB plan. If you use LrC and Lr, then of course 1TB has benefits over 20GB if you need that much space.

No I don't think I am missing anything.
