your observations of actual usage w the d2h are so disappointing. the high iso's are exactly why i have the camera on order. that was number one with me, and now if that's a bust, then my entire reason for upgrading has been grealy diminished. can you post some shots that illustrate the noise that you are referring to and also the iso's that were employed in the shoot. thanks again for your comments. ron.
I have just ran the first tests with the D2H and the results are
disappointing. My business is concert photopraphy, wich means lots
of shotting in avalilable light conditions, at 1000 ISO minimum and
often dark backgrounds. The noise in these backgrounds is very
prominent and has the streaky appearance that remembers me of my
first D1. Compared to the D1H I also use, the D2H seems to perform
very poorly in this specific aspect of background noise. Did I get
a bad camera or does anyone else have the same problem? Comments
would be appreciated
