Hiking early yesterday with my M6II and the 70-300 usm I bumped into this backlit wood fern. Really love this combo, amazing how they work well together (except perhaps for size…). So, yes, the M party is still very much on!

In-between thunder, lightning, downpours, and a visit to the dentist, came opportunity to forget about the escape into Earth orbit, after the stainless steel dental probe found the sensitive spot.
Why do they ask you where you are going for your vacation, after they have filled your up face with a mouth full of spoons?

This is our 3rd great grandchild at 4 days old. Light level was kind of low so I used the MF 32mm f/1.4 which is such a lovely lens for portraits. The lighting was mixed so I went with B&W in post processing.

My Indoor Orchid, just a tad out of the ordinary I suspect. My daughter gifted it to me way back in February, and it was already in bloom. The bloom lasted into early August, which I thought was amazing. Then the blooms finally wilted and dropped off. I thought that was a good run, and I placed the plant, unattended in the conservatory in a quiet space, out of direct sunlight. Two weeks later it started blooming once again, and this is it now. 9 blooms with at least another 3 to show.
