Thanks, Craig. I am partial to the flat roses, too. Yes, there are two there nestled together. These were also up high so I couldn't shoot down on them or I'd have shown both. Rich
I like your solution. It sort of blends the flowers.

I agree. Hotrods are eye candy but I don't want one either. The Corvette appeals more to me but it's a pretty big car. I like them little like me.

I like the picture and the Pano is put together well .. However, what is the that working site in the mid-ground? There is a shed on the left, a couple rather new pickups parked in the center, some heavy duty equipment and trailer to the right.... I see what I gather are stacks of large bales of hay but they must have been brought in as I see nowhere that they might have been cut in this scene ... and maybe they arrive and something departs by rail! ... Anyway, all that has made me to spend some time here! and to visit the Churchill web site and watch their video ... interesting ... wish I had visited ...

That second car (as shown before as well) is massive looking! Lamborghinis never really appealed to me. Something about their shape maybe. Aston Martins, Jaguars, Ferraris I like, other cars as well but if I were going to drop that kind of coin on a car it would not be a Lamborghini.

That is a working farm/ranch. I am not certain if it is in the park or adjacent. Between the time the fort was abandoned and the time it was converted to a park, the land was part of a ranch.

Do you know the history of it? Howard Hughes folly. He flew it a short distance over water one time but it was not commercially successful. He never sold one. Largest plane ever at the time. Still gigantic. Almost impossible to photograph it end to end. Made of spruce of course. 8 engines barely took it airborne out of the water.

Not all of Hughes's projects succeeded but he had fun trying.

A good set Rich. The firebird looked better with Sally Field in it. Charlotte might have preferred Burt Reynolds though. Ooh so long ago it would seem. Watched some Blondie videos the other night. I feel really old now! Looked at some recent videos of the Rolling Stones and came to the conclusion I am far better preserved than they are! Also much poorer.

At a close look, the stones came out of concrete molds. That's cheating!

Vinyard of the Maryhill winery. They make great Malbec, the best I can remember tasting.

Columbia River Gorge. World Class kite surfing location. They come from around the world to do it there.

Maryhill overlook into Oregon. Unfortunately a hazy morning but a great place to stop on the way home anyway. Hot day. Too hot for top-down driving.

Nice set Rich, like the Ted ones…..

I would be happy with any of the first three Harvey. I have a friend that had an original Mini Cooper that he worked on in the sixties. It went fast up to mid eighties then ran out of steam. We were air born in it after hitting large speed bumps on a long straight away after leaving a race at Mosport. Blew the intersection, missed an electric pole and went into a flat field. We got lucky. No one was hurt and no damage to the car. Could have ended very differently.

Very nice Andrew .. I like the dramatic composition of the first and third but all good ... I was a bit surprised by your description of summer in Canada to Harvey ... sounds a bit like Chicago I remember from the 50's before air conditioning... and my thoughts may be like my aunt's who lived in Phoenix where it was 105 one summer and she noted that it was 85F (~30C) in Chicago and decided to spend a couple weeks with us until she arrived and found the humidity was also 85 and two days later went back to Arizona ...

Fun cars to drive, I use to have one, 800 cc fun to drive in a flat road, if you need to climb a hill it becomes a nightmare……

I didn't know you were such a daredevil. DPR would have missed out on a great moderator...

I'm thinking about replacing my Jeep Wrangler as my daily driver on the few days when I drive in the city. I'm the original owner of a '91 with 200K miles on it. Maybe I should ship it down to Roy. It looks like the kind of place where a Jeep would be handy (If he doesn't already have one.)

A newer model Mini is on the possible list. I used to think maintaining a car was fun. Now I just want to drive it. I'll need a roof rack for my kayak.
