Nice! I wish I could grow flowers like that in my garden but all I seem to grow are weeds and thorny vines!

Nice! I wish I could grow flowers like that in my garden but all I seem to grow are weeds and thorny vines!
About 5 years I had zero interest in gardening. My place looked more like the upper reaches of the Limpopo. That quickly changed after the laying of the plastic grass. No more mowing, I was therefore focused on other things. The other things were lots of membrane below slate and coloured stone, to keep the weeds excluded. (And the slugs and snails hate the slate). And all my plants are in pots and planters. (Don't say you haven't noticed :-D ). Spot a weed in them if they popped through the compost? Easy, lift them. The astro turf was of high quality, professionally installed. The guys completed the task in either 3 or 4 days, (cannot remember) and the weather was great. Then within half an hour of them completing and tidying away, it showered, with the most gorgeous rainbow back and beyond. See the slideshow with transitions and music.

I went to the Fargo Air Show this past weekend with my M6II and Canon EF 70-300 F4-5.6 IS II USM. The F-22 Demo Team was the highlight for me. I've generally been pretty lukewarm on the 70-300 so far...but its lightning-quick focusing really excelled in this use case.

M6 and Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 50/2.8. First quick snaps with a new lens.

I was surprised by the weird bokeh balls, found out they are called 'soap bubble' bokeh!

Trunk is not well in focus but bubble rows are interesting.

Despite the name stamp, this is a lowly lens, from reviews. But I think I like its captures very much.

1 day after previous photo (7-8 days ago), and they are at their new home. (The older sister (I think it is a she) is curious about or interested at me. She and her original nestmate were attacked by crow. The other one was took and this one fell on the ground. Later accidentally I found the poor little and made something on 2nd floor window's outer ledge to hold her. Very quickly was found by her parents and then she needed only 3-4 more days to fly to the trees. Their growth is amazingly fast. Seems that she remembers my unharmful hand.) Without that damn branch this could be a nice shot. And odd greens are of 'PL6's Leica M color profile :-D ).

Milky way galactic core over Cherating, Malaysia.

Stopped in a tiny beach town for a few days. Noticed the beach and tide went out really far and it got very dark on the evenings.

Went out with the mini tripod, the 11-22 and my 35mm ef f2 on a speed booster.

It was very cloudy, but the wind was strong, so decided to wait it out. I am glad I did 😁

Hello all, this is my first post on DPreview, with hopefully many more to come.

Shot on- Canon m50 mark1, with EF 24mm f/2.8 using EF to EF-M mount adapter.

Titled- "Unbudgeable"
Quite like the mood of this one. Is there a story behind the shot? How about the location?

Thankyou so much and sorry for the late reply, the only story behind the shot was that it was my first family vacation with my camera, i am still a student so my father bought me this camera, and i wanted to describe to him how different are night shots on a proper camera than compared to an iPhone, and there was a clear difference of night and day. Cause sometimes in daylight, the jpegs and iPhone photos dont stand out to someone who is not into photography and cameras.

The Location is Rishikesh, to be specific- aloha on the ganges, rishikesh, uttarakhand, India.

Summer vacation came and I went to Arxan National Forest Park. It was 3600 km in distance from where I work. The forest park nearby was formed by volcano eruptions, so the landscape was different from other forest areas in the northeast of Inner Mongolia province.

These were all shot in the paradisiacal Tioman Islands, East Peninsular Malaysia.

The fairies are still surfing and romancing with the pixies down in Devon whilst their hamlets are under reconstruction. The design plans may undergo change in line with aesthetics. But the labour force is very flexible. In all regards it is coming on a treat, but not yet ready for occupancy.

M6 and 40/2.8STM, Jupiter 37 (135/3.5) and 15-45.

All of these 3-4 posts are from a recent travel. I could only have two 60-70 minutes sessions for photography. Other shots are from quick opportunities on the go. I was the weirdo that shoots bugs, sky and branches (with a weird thing, Jupiter 37 mounted on the M6 :-) ), not usual travel staff.

7. Relic. Most nostalgic car around here.

8. Lots of people were around a tour girl describing historical carvings on mountain. I, sick of those, was trying to take some challenging duckshots, at far side of a lake. Suddenly a very loud and scary scream of multitude of women echoed in the whole compound. Later I found out this bastrd live statue had made a sudden deliberate move!

9. Some streets and houses of a historic city from 2000-2500 years ago. In an archaeological complex.

10. Disclosed. These couple from 20-25 centuries ago are the most recent item added to the complex. Discovered by a plumber in a citizen's house in a neighborhood street, 7 years ago.

1. 15-45 was not used, only for a handful of interior shots. This and the next.

5. My photogenic bag :-) . I prefer these bags for same reasons that I prefer M6 over other cameras: small size, portability, convenience and unobtrusiveness (no one can guess it carries a camera). The Jupiter and 15-45 were laying in a row at the bottom (with an extra lp-e17 and an earbuds case). On them was a sweater hat as a mattress for the camera and the phone.

Some wild life shots shot in that trip. Sadly the Jupiter 37 was not compatible with Canon's dual pixel focusing system ;-) .

6. Didn't know what was she saying, with that hidden tail. Maybe wanted something for her babies?

7. Breadcrumb throwing mother-bird and her baby-bird. Different color of these unmatured babies is interesting.

8. Not a real wild life shot, actually a wild death shot (under the bench).

(Part 5)

M6 and 40/2.8STM.

A 13kms underground water cave (only 3kms was well investigated and open to public visit). I didn't search but think this cave is a world's 'something-est'. Its super clear and fresh water was amazing. Peace and quiet there was wonderful. I was reluctant to come back, up into this busy and annoying world.

In shooting moving boats from a moving boat, 1/80s is not good, but my lens is only f/2.8. And upper limit of ISO was set to 6400.
