Hello, everyone, and, as I always say, thanks for making contributions to this worthwhile endeavor.

This weekly thread serves as a place for members who own Fuji gear to share recent work …… specifically, with their Fuji X APS-C cameras. To re-emphasize….it's just fine for owners to post images made with their “other” cameras, but the idea is to allow owners with Fuji X APS-C cameras to compare notes, tips, and any other helpful hints.

To contribute your image, please respond to the original thread. Please, in your message, include a title to reflect what you wish to convey. Consider making it somewhat entertaining… it may add some “spice.” In addition to uploading/embedding your image, please tell us a little about the image if you wish. It is helpful to some of us who are less traveled to talk about the location of your photo if possible. If you can provide details such as camera, settings, and processing, that would be great for people reviewing the images.

If you wish C&C (comments/critique) please indicate that in your post. In this thread it should not be assumed everyone wants C&C. However, if you want specific feedback (composition, exposure, subject, etc.), don’t hesitate to mention it. It may be helpful to respondents what your needs may be.

Thanks,

PS…… Post away!

Passing through the charming harbor town of Carlingford, Ireland on the east side, it was low tide. Admittedly, I like seeing the boats balanced on the mud when the tide dramatically goes out.

Decided this may do well in monochrome. Not a great photo but a reminder of a nice part of the trip when it wasn’t raining.

Stuck in the middle of the mud?

Stuck in the middle of the mud?

And an extra one. Passed by an older small fishing vessel. Liked the weathered, old cabin…. So here it is… nothing artsy. Just there beckoning me to return to ask the captain if I could come along for a ride….

Converted x100VI images to monochrome aren't too bad....

My niece requested that I do her pre-debut photoshoot. Of course!

From a few weeks ago. Was lucky enough to catch these guys on the beach. They do visit this spot, but finally responded to my invite to be there when I was there. 😉

Kind of a strange mix of bright and flat light at the same time with the fog/mist moving pretty fast across the beach. Tweaked with Velvia preset in Nitro Photos, plus contrast, highlight, and shadow adjustments. Also, minor exposure and brightness adjustments. C&C welcome.

I like them. Good background with the cliff. Seems like a wonderful place to take a walk :)

I like the first Bob. You might want to try a sepia tone.

You used a camera that nobody seems to be able to get :-}

Thanks..... The compactness, weight, and convenience were worth the extra $100 I paid to have one in hand months ago. Can't take the $$$ with you.

I have started experimenting with 1 light portrait setups and editing. I would want to work towards "mastering" fine art studio portraits and some epic outdoor portraits.

This photo of my family was a quick setup at home after my son's baptism. consisting of a collapsible backdrop, ad400 with 120cm softbox. Took 5 minutes to setup and i like the result. still playing with my own fine art edit style. happy with this edit except for the red tint (visible in my son's hairline) which i will play with to finalize my base preset.

The following photo of my son and in-laws was taken in the middle of the day with harsh sunlight behind them. I used the AD400 with 120cm softbox and the Variable ND set to around 6 stops.

I must say i am very impressed with the 120cm Godox QR-P120T softbox - very forgiving with shadow spill on backdrops and gives enough light to fill the shadows in bright sun at 1/16 to 1/8 at a decent distance from the subject.

Comments welcome. Honest feedback accelerates my learning curve.

Thank you Morris.

Looks like your portrait skills are just fine. skin tones, exposure, backdrop are right there.
I'm sure your wife approves!
