X-S20 vs X-T50

Hopefully the X-E5 uses the same combination as the X-S20, at a cheaper price compared to both the S20 and T50.

One can hope, I could really see the X-E taking the sub 1000 USD body spot left vacant by both the X-S and X-Tx0 series.
X-E4 featured limited array of controls.
And Fuji got a lot of criticism over the very minimalistic control layout of the X-E4. Hopefully they got the message.
The message they got was there was not enough production to fill in the orders... Similarly if we believe Fujirumors XT50 pre-orders seems quite high.
Previously, I considered it to be excellent.
The X-E3 was pretty nice, although the lack of D-Pad was a little odd. I wished the X100F or X-Pro 2's control layout didn't dissapear with the introduction of joysticks on smaller bodies

The X-E4 was always easily available even when on discount. Only after being discontinued and the X100 youtube craze kicked in did it become a desirable item.

I viewed a Video on the pal2tech channel where it was mentioned that the X-T50’s shutter dial is a combined dial, implying it controls both shutter speed and ISO. This might be true for the X100 series, but for the X-T50? Is this accurate? If so, how does one adjust the ISO using that dial? This video link provided mentions this at the 3:00 timestamp.

No, Pal2Tec got this wrong. The top shutter speed dial is NOT a combined shutter and ISO dial. That would have been nice, bu despite the price hike we're not getting that.

Combined shutter/ISO dials have a little window on the dial and a ring that lifts up around the dial itself. The X-T50 does not seem to have that at all. ISO is probably set up the exact same way it was on the othe X-Tx0 cameras : have a button pull up the ISO menu, then use a command dial

On the X-S20, can you save custom recipes in the C1-C4 settings on the PASM dial?
Yes.
X-S10 and X-S20 have only 4 banks of custom settings, which can be selected from PASM dial.

I have both, the X-S20 is a great all-rounder with some great video specs, but already I am preferring the X-T50 for photography. I do prefer the deeper grip on the X-S20, I bought a smallrig grip for the X-T50 & that has solved the shallow grip issue that I was not keen on & it feels much better in hand for me now. I bought the Silver X-T50, and damn it looks so cool especially with a silver lens on it. :) i think an X-T50 with bigger grip, the bigger battery, weather sealing & improved EVF would have been my perfect photo camera. Yes, there is the X-T5 but the X-T50 is such a small form factor and perfect for travel.

looking at the modest size and weight difference between the X-T5 and the X-T50, the X-T5 IS your perfect photo camera. No way to realize your wishes and end up with something smaller than the X-T5.
