Once upon a time, there was a spot on the bottom of the page where you clicked and the "FLAT" was memorized.

Now from yesterday, I have everything Threaded...... no more Flat for any post

.... and the bottom spot is not there anymore :-(
:-(

OK, what is your question? For me it works just as before. I use flat view by default and can select threaded view. If I select threaded view I can change and select flt view.

I am using W11 pro and Firefox, but I am pretty sure it would be just as fine with any other web browser.

Probably relies on cookies being enabled, and not having some plugin/extension that is doing something strange.

Can also confirm it works as expected on my PC.

From today anything it's threaded and if I click flat on this post and read it,

It sounds like your browser is ignoring cookies, which is perhaps one of the features of a “fast, secure and private” browser.

Thanks for helping me.

I never used/managed cookies before.

A pity DPR don't have a specific button like other forums

:-(

Sorry, no idea what can be wrong, except the already mentioned cookies settings. Also, maybe it is time to upgrade to W11???? I had W10 Pro before and that worked fine all the time, but since quite a while I a on W11 Pro and that is good as well. Everything works, I did not had to remove any software at all because of W11, which I initially feared would happen, but it seems like it was fake news which was spread by Windows trolls. I am using many different software, both commercial and freeware and everything worked just like it did when I used W10. So I can really recommend you to update while it is free (assuming you have a legit W10). The only secret of successful upgrade is to "do it by the book", as Microsoft recommends you to do it, no short cuts or trix and fix.

I suppose I will avoid #Vista11

One of the first reasons:
I'm using a vertical taskbar from 1997 on both monitors.

I run windows 10 pro on one machine and Win 11 on the other, edge browser, and no problems. Always stays on threaded view, but I can click on flat view to change to that if I want. It appears to stay whichever way I put it, but flat view would drive me crazy.

Two days ago it returned "Flat" view by default

No reason given !

You have no clue if you compare Windows 11 with Vista... :-)

Probably your weird settings and installations which are causing you problems you can't even imagine. Neither W10 nor W11 caused me any issues EVER. And I am actually doing a lot more on my PCs than surfing the net and posting comments on DPR.

Just click on flat view toward the top right. Whichever one you choose will be the default.

I agree. Flat view makes navigating a sub thread impossible. I've been using threaded views since the old Newsgroup feeds back in the 90s.
