Don't hold your breath on that - the prime intended user target for the R1 do not need more than 6.4 mp - more likely something between 20 to 30 mp in my mind

Don't hold your breath on that - the prime intended user target for the R1 do not need more than 6.4 mp - more likely something between 20 to 30 mp in my mind

The press photographer whose image caught the bullet that whizzed by Donald Trump on Saturday was using the new Sony A9iii (24mp) and the images were being sent to his editor in real time. 64mp doesn't cut it for photojournalism.

Maybe I'm mistaken. I thought that's what Fro said yesterday on his video about the press photographers. I'll check shortly.

UPDATE: I just checked, you were right, it was the A1 at 1/8000th of second. My mistake, thanks for the correction.

We signed up with everyone we could in the UK for pre-order r52. No info from any or from Canon.

Grey importers also the same. Spoke to a few this morning.

Why doesn't? What do you think would be different if that camera had the same specs but say a 45-60Mp sensor?
