Normally use Peak Design straps/system but even their narrow anchor links for straps won't feed through the eyelets on the x100vi.

do want to protect the body anchor links if have to affix them with the Fuji standard issue leather protector.

don't want to use the Fuji strap or the "leather" protectors with the triangle strap clip as the protectors are way too long.

solutions; work arounds ????

I use very small split rings. I think mine came from Cabelas. I don’t remember the precise size — and I’m not going to the studio tonight to find out — but they’re much smaller than the rings commonly provided for cameras.

Pull the PD anchor through the eyelet using floss or fishing line.
Doesn’t work on the V. Try as I might.
Do you have current generation anchors?

I don't have an X100VI. But Fuji seems to use the same strap eyelets on all the cameras I've had. I can pull PD V4 anchors through with floss.

I had the same issue in the past as well. Can't take credit for the suggestion (don't remember where or when I found it), but I have used it with almost every Fuji (X-T series) I've had.

Bought my own split rings (last batch was through amazon), and added a rubber o-ring/washer behind it to protect the camera. I don't remember where the rubber o-ring came from- it's been too long since I last bought those. It is small enough, but with enough elasticity, that is slips over the metal split-ring and isn't going anywhere.

Maybe a touch bulky, but works great. Couple of quick iPhone shots-

I’m familiar with the variations and I have the current V4 anchors. I’m told the recalled “thin” V3 anchors will work, but I can’t get ahold of any. I’m also told that you can remove the hardened insert from the X10OV eyelet, but those in my camera won’t budge using any of the tools in my fairly extensive shop. I’ve decided I’m not all that interested in weakening the connection point anyway. I originally spliced Dyneema loops through the eyelets, but switched to the (very) small split rings last year.

FWIW, I’ve worked as a professional rigger in both the marine and stage world. Threading cordage is something I’m comfortable with. I’m confident in saying you’re not going to thread a V4 PD anchor through an unmodified Fujifilm X100V (or X-S10) eyelet.

I use Simplr straps (and rings) on my Fujis.

But a Peak Design Cuff (wrist strap), the latest model. It comes with an oval ring (oval, not round) and a cover. The eyelet can go on the VI's eyelet, then the cover, then the PD anchor. but, the problem is you get one of those ring connectors, and they aren't available as extra items or replacement parts to buy from PD website.

But yeah, the PD cords ain't' going on the VI...

I used the attachments that came with the camera, folding the leather(?) in such a way it stops the triangle metal bits from bouncing around and scratching things.

Tiny split rings on the X100V. O-Rings or leather patches are redundant. The rings don’t touch body of the camera, particularly with the Peak Design Anchors larksheaded in place. (Not that I GAFF if they did touch. No garage queens. “No lookin’ at” cameras.

Tiny Split Ring from a fishing supply shop. You might be able to use one size smaller, but it won’t be easy to install.

The leather bits that come with the camera help keep things quiet though... less rattle rattle when taking the odd video, or just trying to be quiet.

I don’t shoot much video but the cord from the anchors dampens any rattle. Else a bit of gaffers tape. Of course there’s no harm in using a “bumper” if it suits you. I just find too much is made of them.

That is why Fuji supplies the little metal triangles and leather protectors. Just use them.

I use Op/Tech mini QD connectors with an Op/Tech wrist strap (or, occasionally, a sling strap). They fit through the eyelets.
I suspect the cordage used on the Op/Tech connectors is softer and more pliable than that of the PD anchor. The tensile strength of the O/T connector is quite a bit lower too. Good enough for the X100x but I’d hesitate to use this connector with my heavier camera/lens combinations. (My Canon 500FD comes particularly to mind.) Part of my reason for choosing PD is that works with all my gear — including some non-photography applications.

I recently bought the Peak Design Slide strap and it too came with small oval rings that attach to the X100VI without issue, You then attach the red/black anchor connectors to it. They are so small they can't touch the side of the camera housing.

Ahh, so the slide comes with the little oval (not round) ones too? Assume they came with the little protector for the oval ring that sits in the middle of it? Those are what I talked about above.

When i bought a pack of 4 black anchor links, 2 oval split rings and plastic covers were included in the box.
