June 17th woot woot! Got trailer link in my email this morning.

Just saw that. Precapture and they’re marketing it with an action/video slant.

Curious to see what’s in store in other teasers and the launch.

Would they market pre-capture if it wasn’t raw? 🤔
They did with the Z9, when it comes to its 120fps mode IIRC.

Wasn't pre-capture added later in firmware on the Z9 too? Or maybe I;m confusing with another camera.

I'm assuming Bird AF on this one, given the focus in the teaser! Yay!

If we could capture that moment just before the shutter clicks, surely the world would change. (Pre-capture?)

If we can see clearly even in dazzling environments, we can take better pictures. (EVF change?)

How exciting would it be would be to express all the beautiful colors with a small camera. (New Picture Controls?)

He seems pretty excited.

Something else to note. Jared Polin had a very interesting short a month ago talking about how he needed to get a bunch of Nikon glass in to do a bunch of shooting with because of some reason he was excited about that NIkon was doing. I think it was Z6 III related he may have done some testing with.

WIll be interesting for people like me that went from the original Z6 to the Z8 while waiting. I certainly don't need all the Z8 features and it is larger than I'd like, but at the same time, things like no blackout, no mechanical shutter and the sensor shield, I suspect would be hard to step back from.

I imagine that we will see a similar inflow of initial "previews" on that day or the day after like we did with the Z8.... with some probably already having had the camera for a few months now. I suspect Matt Granger, Ricci and a few others (maybe Steve Perry) will have (or already have) their initial reactions already prepped and ready to post on the date.

Could that intimate that it’s no larger than the Z6 II ? I do hope so.

Given the Z6III will be positioned below the Z8 and Z9, my question is besides resolution, what will be "missing" from the Z6III that will still entice buyers to the higher end models? Especially since for now, it appears the new camera will have some superior features.

The official English (US) trailer is active now, and says (compared to the Japanese):

I could capture even before I pressed the shutter. It's a game changer.

In a bright situation, if I can see better, I can create better [sic on the commas]

All the beautiful colors in a camera this small is something really exciting.
