C'mon!!! Post Your May 2024 L-Mount Photos and Videos Here (Pretty Please!)

I got my first chance to test out the adapted EF Tamron 70-210mm f/4 lens on my S5 on animals on Sunday, at Faunia, which is essentially another zoo for the animals that don't fit in the zoo. Penguin shots with the Sigma 50/2 DG DN and the butterfly with the Sigma 14-70/2.8, everything else with the Tamron on Commlite adapter.

Every year when the harsh winter weather disappears, I will venture down to Pynchon Point in Agawam, Massachusetts. 400 years ago, the Pynchon Point ferry was the only way to cross between the West side of the Connecticut River and the small Springfield Coloney.

I go several times a season, usually with a different setup, to capture where the Westfield and Connecticut Rivers meet. Now that I'm old as dirt, plus the fact that the Point has been taken over by some very unsavory people, leaves me wondering how many more times I will visit. Today I had my lightly used but new to me Leica CL and Sigma 45mm f2.8 DG DN Contemporary Lens...

The fog rolled in just as I got to Peggy's Cove, so I only managed a few photos before the light was gone. Panasonic S5 w/70-300 OOC customized jpegs with some editing to taste in ON1.

The grass isn't always greener, unless you shoot Velvia.

This one is very nice, my favorite of the bunch.

All three are lovely shots. My favorite is the B&W one though.

There's definitely a learning curve ahead, but great fun anyway!

Nice image, and really incredible that it could be seen that far south. Were there many people out? We had a little party up in Wyoming. When I left, somebody (whom I would never recognize since it was quite dark) said "See you in 25 years!" LOL

My S5 II is used pretty much exclusively for concert photography at this point. As usual, these are mostly OOC JPEG files processed through SnapSeed.

Water From Your Eyes

This is a rare photo where I felt I had to process in Lightroom first since her hair was getting blown out to white in the OOC JPEG.

Always crowded in Joshua Tree NP on a Friday night even without a once in a lifetime astronomical event. After dealing with trying to shoot between headlight illuminated landscapes and peopling rolling down windows asking if the aurora was visible along the main Park Blvd., found a secluded spot along a dirt road. Maybe not as picturesque foreground as the Quail Springs area and should have set up in the middle or other side of the dirt road instead of the dirt parking area so the road would be a leading line, but was amazed that the Aurora was visible naked eye so far south.

Nice. How do you like the lens so far? Mine arrives Wednesday.
You have a lot of lenses, George!!!

How / when do you envision using the 28-200 compared to your other lenses?

I understand the allure of using it as a "do-it-all" lens, espescially on hikes, but I also know that image quality is important to you (as well as maximum aperture). So I am curious how you envision using it.

Guess my feeble mind lacks the creative foresight to see it as much more than a glorified kit lens. So I defer to your ideas.
