Z6/7 III news addiction

Me too! and I am not self conscious about it. I am pro using two Z6 cameras, one since it was released (over 250,000 clicks) the other not quite as used. I have been resisting the Z8/9 due to cost and because I like the Z6 format/size so much. I just need new cameras before mine break and I have to repair them instead of investing on new gear. So the clock is ticking. Fortunately, I am still very satisfied with the Z6 and have few frustrations with it, but I would certainly benefit from an upgrade.

I am so impressed by the build and responsiveness of the ZF that it bodes so well for the Z6III and has me even more excited for it. The Zf is just not the type of design I like.

I do not waste time manually checking NikonRumors. It is too time-consuming and distracts you from doing something meaningful. Instead, I use an RSS reader that simply aggregates all the news from NikonRumors (and other sites whose content I am interested in) in a neat and convenient way. I just open it once or twice a day and get a complete overview of the news without having to manually check each site.

As for the Z6III, I have simply given up waiting and hoping. Instead, I am trying out different APS-C and mFT gear, which is a lot more fun.

Some of us have been chacking daily since the launch of the Z5... Why? eh it's a 2 second look. Sometimes it even gives useful info such as firmware updates.
 
I wouldn't say I'm an addict, but I have been checking more recently.

Honestly, at this point every day that passes without some sort of teaser or announcement for a Z6iii or the 35mm f/1.2 surprises me. I'm more surprised it hasn't happened yet than I think I would be with what we get in terms of specs. :-D
 
I'm an outlier. I'm hoping for a Z5ii, really.

I love the simplicity of the Z5, and especially that I can control everything with my right hand while holding the camera/lens with my left. I neither need nor want a top-viewing screen. I love the Z5's dial that allows me to choose among manual, aperture priority, shutter priority, and, especially, my preset U1, U2, and U3 settings (which I set for landscapes, portraits, and wildlife/moving objects).

Give me a Z5 with an Expeed 7 processor and I'll be happy.
 
On the Nikon USA website the Z6ll is a hundred bucks less than the Z6.

Looks like an attempt to clear inventory to make way for the Z6lll.

Back in the day I expected the long wait was for a new sensor that just like the Z8/9 was going to enable a shutterless and blackout-free camera. I still hope that is what is causing the wait...

I have given up and moved on. I am waiting on announcement of Z11.

Z11 being shrunken and updated version of Z9 with Expeed 8. ;-)
 
Hi,

My thinking is, not interested until Nikon annos something sporting a 60 MP sensor. Then I could use one camera for everything for the first time ever.

Doesn't matter if they call that the Z7-3 or not.

And I won't be eyeballing rumor sites. No need. Someone will immediately, if not sooner, post such right here on this forum. Actually 15 somebodies and within 15 seconds. :P

I use a RSS news reader for Nikon Rumours, but I also watch youtube daily looking for Z6 III news :(.

I have a Z6 II and am quite happy, but I want to have those capabilities that the expeed 7 sensor gives.

Like you, I am on the website each day, perhaps twice a day waiting for some news on the Z6 III & the Z7 III. I own a Z8 and absolutely love it but would like a smaller body for travelling. In order for me to by a Z6 III it has to be more than 24 megapixels and I am hoping for something around 33 megapixels as I would like to travel with 2 lenses, one being my 40mm F1.2 lense and be able to crop in. If not, i will wait to see what the Z7 III brings, if there ever will be a new Z7 III as it would eat into the Z8 sales.
