Have you been a victim of a discontinued camera system?

Nothing is ever permanent.

Except maybe Leica M. (1954- ????) and Pentax K (1975- ????).
...Hasselblad V* (1957), Nikon F* (1959), etc.

*restrictions may apply ;-)

We are all victims . I say good riddance! No more dangling every piece of new gear in front of our noses enticing us to buy buy buy. I won`t miss the site at all.
Nobody was holding a gun to your head....
Looking at your gear list it`s obvious someone was holding one at yours.

I hear m43 isn't dead yet.

However, I won't be buying anything new in that format.

Film isn't dead yet, unfortunately.
LOL just bought the 90

The firmware to accommodate those P lenses bricked most 3rd party lenses as well. The AI vs. Pre-AI thing gets a lot of people tangled up. Not sure how to avoid that when trying to keep the same mount for 50 years. When they started having bodies at the entry level that had no focus motors in them it got even worse. Toward the end you knew it would mount, but had to consult a chart to see if it would AF.
@ Mackiesback

Do you have any links or details about the bricking of 3rd party lens due to the AF-P firmware upgrades?

I have a D7200, five 3rd party lenses and two recent AF-P acquisitions. I understand I can revert the firmware back to an older version if I encounter issues after the update but have been hesitant to update after seeing your post.

Thank you for any information you may have.
