Do you think the X100 VI is going to be as popular as the V and end up being in short supply?

I am sure Fujifilm’s China factory is every bit as good as their Japan factory, minus the labor costs.I am old enough to remember when made in Japan had the same negative connotations that made in China seems to today. I suspect that China has some of the most advanced and high quality manufacturing facilities on the planet these days.

Of course. Everything you say is completely verifiableThere will be a feeding frenzy of panic buying over the next three months, induced by the same Fear Of Being Left Out as with the V craze over the last 24 months. This will be followed by a summer lull once all initial orders are fulfilled, with ready availability from retailers. A good number of buyers will then scratch their heads and wonder why they jumped on this thing, and put their VI up for sale- at first at unrealistic asking prices. Soon used prices will fall based on the sheer supply. By Fall Fuji will offer a promotion such as a nice Domke bag with every sale, and the unit itself will be discountable new on greentoe.Do you think the X100 VI is going to be as popular as the V and end up being in short supply?
This is the path the V took on introduction. With presumably increased production capacity with its new China factory, supply should not be a problem, nor will Fuji's ability to obtain components, unlike with the V in its latter days.
This speculation is just as valid as any other. Except that it's correct.
In what way ridiculous?I saw a post today that indicated a person pre-ordered the X100VI on B&H Photo at 10 min. after the release time and was told by B&H that the order was not within the first batch of 500 cameras that will be shipped first. If this is true then it's totally ridiculous.
I believe retailers actually don't have the stock yet and Fujifilm is shipping to them in batches. It is so interesting that the X100V is not listed as in stock and ready to ship (at MRSP) on B&H now.
Wonder if it’s a glitch. Or if they have had some on hand and are now unloading.
EDIT: No longer available on B&H.
I've been dealing with B&H since the 70s and this is totally reasonable for a new highly anticipated product. To see 500 units sold (if that's the number) within minutes from a company as reputable as B&H doesn't surprise me one bit. If I was clicking away early in the morning then thousands of others were likely clicking away as well.I saw a post today that indicated a person pre-ordered the X100VI on B&H Photo at 10 min. after the release time and was told by B&H that the order was not within the first batch of 500 cameras that will be shipped first. I have a very bad experience with PayBoo.I had a PayBoo account, and purchased several things with it. But then some time went by and I wasn't using the card, so the bank cancelled it on me -- without warning. And thanks to that action, my credit score took a hit.B&H PayBoo, avoid the tax. I saved over $200 and I never make a purchase without it.With tax it's going to cost me $1,700. The problem is,
Like what? I've had nothing but great experiences for many years now. If someone doesn't have ready cash to pay the balance in full to take advantage of the tax benefit then they need to use other means, PayBoo benefits those who have the money to pay within 30 days to save on the tax and I never carry a balance on any credit card.I have a very bad experience with PayBoo.I had a PayBoo account, and purchased several things with it. Monthlong problem to register. Their site reports “Sorry the problem is on our side.” Unresponsive. After a month of successful use and submitting all payments via a special link, the account gets blocked until I provide them with a bunch of additional documents. I have plenty of CCs for a quite a long time. No provider acts as amateurish.Like what? I've had nothing but great experiences for many years now. Interesting, it was such a smooth process for me and making payments is easy as cake from my check account using my iPhone or computer. I haven't had one hiccup in all the years I've been using it. I've saved thousands of dollars over the years. Sorry to hear you had issues, it's a great program.Monthlong problem to register. Their site reports “Sorry the problem is on our side.” Unresponsive.
