**This week with your Z camera, Feb 17-23, 2024**

Always so fun to watch the Coots and their crazy feet! What kind of flycatcher is that in the photo? I'm not terribly familiar with species out west.

And it snowed again yesterday... for all you people shooting crocuses in winter pining for spring.

11 image focus stack using Z8 focus shift function + Nikkor Z 14-30mm f/4 zoom.
Great landscape. I assume the position of the camera was restricted by the ice condition.
shuncheung: Really? I Think the composition works. What would you have changed regarding the position of the camera?

dfikar: great work.

that is a nice picture.

I like these, but then I have an affinity for snow.

Nice pictures.

I was fortunate to spend last week in Venice with my new Z8. Venice is a magical place! I am amazed by my new machine! Here are just a few of the hundreds I shot.

Thanks. It was a tricky fit with the tripod at the opening of the ice crack. Focus stacking was mandatory from that position.

WOWZA! Wonderful!!

wonderful series of pictures. A minute, more or less, in the life of the bird. Great job of staying with the subject as it flys to the perch.
Thanks, I feel like I am finally getting to know the z9 and the 180-600....

A nice walk this weekend. Had 6 of these hawks flying overhead. Beautiful birds.

While camping this weekend I saw the sun light streaking through the trees and hitting the snow just right. I felt if I didn’t get this shot I would regret it later. Worked out great with just enough light in the sky to light up the snow, and create reflections on the knife’s facets. And the 50mm f/1.2 lens made the sun into a much more magnificent ball of light than it really was - it was tiny, barely above the horizon and behind several trees. Shot on Z8 and Z 50mm f/1.2 S. Love this combo!

Great shots. I was in Venice last June and took the similar shots. Venice is a dream for photographers.

Nice picture. I like the squirrels. They provided hours of entertainment for the dogs when we lived in VA. My wife got a bird feeder when moved into that house and I kidded her about feeding the squirrels.
