Don't mean to be a nitpicker, Lee, but it is a hassle to have to
scroll around to see the whole image. Kinda loses the impact that
way. How bout something a bit smaller?

Hi Steve!

A possibility, assuming you're using IE...

Turn on "Autoresize".

Then when one of these giant size pics comes along, click on the little blue "new window" on the Image Control line at the top of the pic.

It'll open in a new window and the pic will fit 100% within it.

Just a thought,

Autoresizing ("Enable Automatic Image Resizing") is fine so long as it's being opened in a SEPARATE window, in this case it opens on the post, and it opened 1920 x 1200 - full size I presume. Only option is to scroll as Steve said, unless you take the image somewhere else (separate window in IE or another image viewer).

Such a large size is hard for those with dial up connections, although I've see posts with images a whole lot larger than the 431K of this image.

I think the best would be to have a much smaller image, like around 600 wide, come up on the post and then provide a link to the full size image for those that want to see it larger or full size.

P.S. the 1920x1200 image automatically opens when viewing the original post.

When I open a post and there's a picture embedded in it, just above the picture it has a line that says:

"Image control: 50% ~ 100% ~ 200% ~ Expand width ~ Contract width ~ New window"

When you click on "New Window" it does exactly that. If "Autoresizing" is on, it works like a champ to view the whole picture at once.

Did you miss the part where I said to click on "New Window"?

That's true but a different issue. Steven had commented about having to scroll around to see a whole picture so that's all I was addressing.

Sounds logical or at least warn people in the title of the thread that there's a large pic inside. Some folks do and some folks don't, what can you do...

Excellent, thanks for the quick response. I was tempted to purchase a D1H, however, after seeing this photo the D100 is back in the running.

Keep up the great work!

I have no problems with the d100 image. I really love this little camera. But, it is a little camera. Use the F100, and you'll wish that Nikon used the F100 instead of the N80 for the body. That is why I'm getting the D2h today! :)

Thanks for the comments.
