Hello, everyone, and, as I always say, thanks for making contributions to this worthwhile endeavor.

This weekly thread serves as a place for members who own Fuji gear to share recent work …… specifically, with their Fuji X APS-C cameras. It's just fine for owners to post images made with their “other” cameras, but the idea is to allow owners with Fuji X APS-C cameras to compare notes, tips, and any other helpful hints.

To contribute your image, please respond to the original thread. Please, in your message, include a title to reflect what you wish to convey. Consider making it somewhat entertaining… it may add some “spice.” In addition to uploading/embedding your image, please tell us a little about the image if you wish. It is helpful to some of us who are less traveled to talk about the location of your photo if possible. If you can provide details such as camera, settings, and processing, that would be great for people reviewing the images.

If you wish C&C (comments/critique) please indicate that in your post. In this thread it should not be assumed everyone wants C&C. However, if you want specific feedback (composition, exposure, subject, etc.), don’t hesitate to mention it. It may be helpful to respondents what your needs may be.

Thanks,

PS…… Post away!

Only one follow-up to last week’s post. There have been a lot of cars at the auto show the past years but this one is one that I wouldn’t mind driving around. The hubcaps indicate it may be a vintage Cadillac but I’m not sure. There may have been some modifications. I tried to make it look vintage in the first image and included the original to show what I started with. At the time it was impossible to take a pic with no one in the photo. Currently it is an easier task to remove unwanted subjects. If you are inclined, tell me which image you prefer. (BTW -- you can see a reflection of me and another person on the left front wheel well taking the photo)

 Stylized image (obviously 😁)

Original -- Yes it was that blindingly blue!

The First, unusually for me as I don't do much with monochrome. I looked at these while reclining in bed with a morning cuppa and a mild hangover and the second was a bit "in my face". 😀

A few more from the airshow I posted from this year. Really had to tweak the brightness/contrast because it was so hazy and harsh at the same time. C&C welcome.

Custom ACR profile to do channel swap directly on RAF.

Someone would prefer the "classic" dark red leafs Aerochrome look but there was many variation of its color rendering in the years and the earlier had more nuances between oranges and reds.

For whose curious about the location, the photo is taken in Treviso, my hometown.

This ruddy duck was enjoying fishing at Big John's Pond, Jamaica Bay National Wildlife Refuge here in New York City. I'm shooting handheld at 840mm from the blind on this cloudy afternoon. The blind is effective at allowing one to be close yet the windows are all high and I'd love to be lower.

Equipment: X-H2S NIKON AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR + 1.7X lens 840mm + Fringer NF-FX Ⅱ

Kind of a no-brainer for me, anyway. Even though I'm not a huge B&W advocate with respect to my own photography, I definitely prefer that version for a couple of reasons:

- The car likely dates back to a timeframe where color photography probably didn't exist, so photographing it in that manner makes it feel more like a genuine vintage photo.

- The other cars and the other people in the FOV are a bit distracting. The B&W image places all the emphasis on the car, and IMHO, that's where it belongs.

Nice editing job... I imagine that took a fair amount of time and effort.

I've noticed this curious shoe/moccasin looking rock along I-40 west of Albuquerque many times. I suppose most people might give it a glance whizzing by at 75 to 80 mph.

I never feel safe trying to pull off the side of the road there when I'm in traffic, but this time there was no traffic right behind me so I got pulled off far enough to feel safe. I got out and decided I was going to have to crawl through the barbed wire fence to get a closer look. I had seen paint on the moccasin to resemble beads. Sometimes it's so faded it's barely visible, but someone had applied fresh paint recently.

It's about 25 feet long and a couple feet thick. It looks like the rock may have split and the portion on the ground fell? It would have taken machinery to have set the rock up if it didn't happen naturally.

It's on Laguna reservation land and there were names and dates carved on the other rocks around it dating back to the 1940s. Maybe this was an old Rt. 66 attraction? I should have spent more time there, but felt a little funny being out there with all the I-40 traffic roaring by.

This is a great find and lovely compositions. I wonder if there was a stand selling moccasins there back in the day?

This kingfisher showed up just as it was starting to get dark at the West Pond of Jamaica Bay National Wildlife Refuge. I'd removed my TC to get more light just before I spotted it and I put it on and cranked the ISO as I needed to give the kingfisher space and not scare it off. The fishing images are from a number of dives. I'd started to work other subjects when the sun broke through the clouds producing some sweet gap light just before sunset.
