Which two lenses to take for landscape and waterfalls

And ND and polarizing filters.

Greg, I disagree with you about the 110. I would not take it on a landscape shoot, however it is clearly the best Fuji lens for portraits. I equate it to my Canon 135 F2, a wonderful portrait lens regardless of its age.
I know. I am just teasing all the portrait shooters. The 110 is a fantastic portrait lens, so it of course would take a great landscape at 110mm.

But it is true that it is so sharp that some people actually soften it (or spend an hour in post removing microscopic hair follicles). DOF wide open? Oh boy.... That lens wide open with that big sensor, the sliver of focus is so tiny that one-third of one eyeball is in focus if the face is slightly turned....

Thanks to all the amazing folks and their valuable responses. I decided to take the 23, 45-100, and the 250 on this trip. The back pack was heavy for hiking but well worth it. Here are some images from the trip with many more to process.

Thanks again to everyone for their valuable advice.

Fantastic! You were blessed with good weather and nice skies. Bald skies would have hurt you.

I'm glad you listened to me. 😁

Those are the lenses I would take. Great photos. Does anyone know why Fuji Images uploaded to this site never seem to transfer exif data.

Exif data transfers on upload. I have never uploaded an image to DPR or Flickr without it showing all the details. You have to tell it not to. It irritates me when OPs hide their data either accidently or on purpose.

On Flickr, I don't acknowledge images with no EXIF data. I don't trust any of them.

In this case, I think Yogi just forgot to or didn't intend not to show data. But there are some pro's who will not upload EXIF data or a large full-size high quality jpeg to DPR or Flickr because they are afraid someone will use it vs paying them, and they like to keep their data a mystery, like some kind of trade secret. In my opinion, this day and age, that is unnecessary.

My uploads used to slow Exif data up until DPR announced the shut down. I never changed any settings on my uploads but now none of my images show EXIF data. What should I do to ensure they show EXIF data?

Yes, I would like to show EXIF because that way if there is something wrong with the image, experienced folks can troubleshoot the camera settings.

When you export a jpeg from LR, you have to tell it to include EXIF. Then when you upload it to DPR, it will be there.

Is there a best methodology to upload?

Generally when I try to upload a phtoto from computer I get a DPR timer of death….so I will typically message my iPad and upload this generally smaller file from there.

Pre the shutdown period uploading was not a problem.

Agree Greg, love full size with e if data and other lens camera data if not in the EXIF.

I am in Scotland. It is raining. It is going to carry on raining, and then it is going to rain a bit more. Then, when it's dark, it will stop for 2, may be 3 minutes, then it will rain for about another 12 hours.

But now I've realised the weather doesn't matter because I only bought 4 lenses and that is totally inadequate anyway.

Edited to say: take the 23 & 45-100

Yup I love to have some clouds to give the skies some character.
I'm glad you listened to me. 😁
It always pays to listen to experienced pros👍
You said the magic word.

Now I have to start another thread entitled "What is your Definition of a Pro Photographer?" That is one of the most controversial and often repeated threads on all DPR Boards.

Is the young mother in your neighborhood who just bought an entry to mid-level MILC and let it be known on social media that she will take pictures of your baby for 400 bucks, and just landed her third gig from grateful friends and neighbors a pro? Yes.

Is the old dude that is now on his 54th camera and 135th lens and that has never made a cent on photography but spent a small to medium-sized fortune on it and also has been thinking about and studying it almost every day for 50 years a pro? No.

Yes

Ill would judge by the pics they take. Whether they make money out of it is immaterial IMHO.

Do it. I have a question as to "is this a pro" but don't want to do it here. :)

Yogi, you must be new here. You saying that is going to get you introuble here. Stand by for the retorts....

I would jump on that but I'm waiting for the other thread. :)

I can't bring myself to do it. It's been done too many times and I already know what everyone here will say.

Jim will probably give me the stink eye if I start another what is a pro photographer thread....

One of you guys need to do it.

But speaking of Jim, one time about a month ago some OP referred to him as a pro and he said he responded that he wasn't a pro!!! Hahahahahaha.

If Jim ain't a pro, show me one....

That is ridiculous. Jim might not need the money and doesn't sell his stuff but come on Man! Dude used to have exhibitions with some of the elite wine sippers in California....

He turned his whole house into a studio with test targets hanging off every wall and giant prints used as wallpaper.

He has a tripod bigger than my first car.... He has cameras no one has ever heard of that are like 7 feet long and the shutter is a cigar box lid.... He has this one table tripod for macro that looks like the Apollo Eagle than Neal Armstrong hopped out of....

Knock yourself out, Greg. As long as everybody behaves, it'll be fine.

LOL! I understand but I promise I'm not trying to get you in trouble. :)

Besides, everyone knows to be a Professional you must be getting paid for what you do. Otherwise you're just Pro-like. :)
