Started shooting digital back with the first 2MP cameras. Over 20 cameras later still going. I shoot for a living - family and people portraits, weddings, Sports and a little of everything.

I have been trying to build a Rose Garden and now I added the Cardinal Tree Climber Plant and some other mostly unknown Flowers to attract different Butterflies, etc.

Actually the main reason I planted the Cardinal Tree Climber, to see if it actually attracts Hummingbirds as reported by some. Well I have found out that it really does.

However yet to actually capture them. Have to figure their schedule coming to them.

However I just thought there might be others interested in what Plants actually do attract Hummingbirds.

The first snapshot is just one of the NEW flowers grown. Which I have no idea what it is and the other is the FAST spreading Cardinal Tree Climber. Just for those that don't know what it looks like. Not a great shot but at least it shows just how much the plant will spread. Hopefully soon I will have some Hummingbird captures.

Insect focus really helped here:

No flower recognition! A6700 autofocus sucks :-)

Kidding aside, nice selection. And given that these are probably jpegs straight out of the camera, very nice exposure & colors

Thanks - they are jpegs but have been tweaked a little. I don’t do Raw (I have in the past but it’s just too much hassle).

Love the last one----beautiful details! How do you like the Batis?

Definitely no complaints with it... I wouldn't pay full price for it (~$1200). I got it around $900 when B&H had a sale.

It's everything they say about it. Nice size, light weight, colors/contrast, 3d pop, bokeh...

A few from the last couple of weeks, we've had so much poor weather here (UK), it feels like summer has never properly started.

Anyway, here are the Red Arrows doing their stuff at the F1 British Grand Prix in July. I didn't bother taking any car pictures as (a) I wasn't in a grandstand so the safety fence would be too intrusive, and (b) the wage-paying blue-and-pink cars were having a rubbish weekend. Fat Orange Cat

Molly taking it easy in the conservatory. Not the greatest pic but fine to load onto the phone to 'Whatsap' to my wife. SEL 11mm f1.8

Three 'dog-walk' pics

Out in the fields between the village and the A41

The first two are maybe a bit dark, but i wanted plenty of blue in the sky.
