My on/off button is slightly stiff/difficult to turn. I need to use my fingernail in the grooves. Is this normal behavior or is there something I could to do to make it easier ?

thanks in advance

No, that isn't normal. On my X-E3s, the on switch turns smooth and easy.

My X-E3's on/off switch has a little resistance but definitely not stiff. Same switch on the X-T30 and same feel.

if i remember correctly there's a small iron ball that does the click with a metal plate, you can see it on a X-E2 but it's the same on X-E3

Without taking apart you can't do pretty much in my opinion, maybe try a few drops of 99% isopropyl alcohol between the shutter button and the ON/OFF switch.

Please don't use WD-40!

i mean it's not super difficult. It may be more that I can't get a proper grip with the pads of my finger. When I used my naiul in the groove it has a little click. Maybe a gnurled soft release button will help
