My B&H preorder shipped this morning but ETA is Monday. :-|Good flag thank you. I canceled with Canon and ordered from B&H and it says I should get it tomorrow. Can’t beat that
Looks like you're on the West Coast. I'm on the East Coast (Virginia) and should get mine tomorrow. But maybe yours will arrive early...Saturday or Sunday. My B&H preorder shipped this morning but ETA is Monday. :-|Good flag thank you. What will I do all weekend !?
Well I guess I should say finally got mine:... Anyone else got them? Looking forward to more impressions and pictures...

Nice !Well I guess I should say finally got mine:... Anyone else got them? Looking forward to more impressions and pictures...
That box looks way too big for what it should contain!
Even that box looks a little big
Ok, that looks better. However, still a little oversized on the R50
And finally a photo with it. I do like the 45mm equivalent of 28mm more than 28mm on FF.
ThanksNice !Well I guess I should say finally got mine:... Anyone else got them? Looking forward to more impressions and pictures...

The R50, 18-150, and 28mm form a pretty small travel kit. Only thing lacking is the wide end, but iPhone can usually fill that gap.Looks like a good fit on the R50.
Hmm, I tried this but couldn't get it to work. In any case, after having used the manual focus RF-S 35mm f/1.4 TTArtisan lens for a while on the R50, I am looking forward to having autofocus with the 28mm.I can switch the R50 to manual focus just by holding the shutter button down and adjusting the focus ring so sometimes I put my middle finger on the focus ring while keeping my trigger finger on the shutter button.
That is not in the advanced user manual.
Who knows what else they left out.
Looks like the focus ring on the RF 28mm is in a good place for me to use when I sometimes switch to manual focus.
On my R50.ThanksNice !Well I guess I should say finally got mine:... Anyone else got them? Looking forward to more impressions and pictures...

I see now that [ ] One-Shot→enabled (magnify) in the AF 4 menu must be set for this to happen. On my R50.ThanksNice !Well I guess I should say finally got mine:... Anyone else got them? Looking forward to more impressions and pictures...

Manual mode, servo off if I half press the shutter button and turn the focus ring at all the camera will do 5X zoom and manual focus.
If after taking a shot I continue to hold down the shutter button and turn the focus ring the camera will switch to manual focus with focus peaking and the distance scale.
Ah, there it is. And only if the ring is not in Control mode.I see now that [ ] One-Shot→enabled (magnify) in the AF 4 menu must be set for this to happen. On my R50.ThanksNice !Well I guess I should say finally got mine:... Anyone else got them? Looking forward to more impressions and pictures...
