My GH6 has these strange horizontal lines in the frame. Bug?

Hello! New here.

I bought my Lumix GH6 in January this year and ever since I bought it I noticed, in occasions, some strange lines appear in the frame that makes it pretty much unusable.

It seems to get better in some ISOs values like 1250 but it doesn't disappear.

I don't seem to find and answer and im really worried this might mean the sensor is broken as I live in Uruguay and won't be able to return it.

Thanks!

could it be this?

its a known video issue in high contrast scenes.

last I heard panasonic were working in it.

best thing to do would be keeping up with the latest firmware.

best of luck!

Those remind me of the streaking issues discussed at the 7 minute mark in this video:

Perhaps it is unrelated, but thought it might give you something to look into as there are many discussions online about the GH6 streaking issue. Maybe a solution will be as simple as updating the firmware.

I think the GH6 is wysiwyg at this point. It sells for even less than the GH5S! I reported a bug to them months ago and while the guy who reached out to me was awesome--lots of history at Panasonic--never saw a fix.

A GH7 with their new AF will be all the rage.

Thank you J!
I don't know how to get the shooting settings of those clips.

However, I'll shoot another one and make sure to get all that information.

What do you mean by processing?

EXIF information and shooting settings are necessary to help figure it out. Also, processing you used; and are these from video and converted to JPG, and if so, what video settings and converter are you using?

I might wonder 'whats with the cleaver?" and the "weird lighting?"

The lighting and effects are probably a lot more the issue than the camera body.

I think that maybe true, but I do believe they have made small amounts of progress, maybe the most they can do will be to minimize it, but from what I've seen they will likely do their best, with the incentive that these days video comes first.

Lets hope the GH7 is all the rage! I want cheaper gh5s/gh5ii, a collection to go with my G9!

I shot this clip on Friday afternoon. Same issue.

These are the values I used:

MOV 4K 420/10L 100Fps /25p

100 shutter speed, F2.8 and ISO 250.

This is a screen capture.

Yes, I saw that video but Im not sure is the same thing.

Hopefully is something related to the firmware.
It looks like very flat, underexposed V-log to me. Was the underexposure intentional?
