RF 70-200 f2.8 vs EF ii/iii

Solution
I've never shot the RF version, but from everything I've seen/read/heard about it, better IQ is not a major reason to go with the RF. Both the latest EF and RF 70-200s are superb optically, and differences are splitting hairs. Can guarantee in a blind image test nobody could accurately pick one over the other.

Pay the premium for the RF if you want the smaller size and faster AF.

Buy the EF if you want to save some $$ and don't mind the extra bulk.
Which is sharper and more contrasty.

Size/weight/adapter/extenders not an issue.

Purely IQ with bare lenses.

Thanks, Jim.
Have you tried such comparisons as this?

EF II is superb as bare lens f/2.8 on R5 and R7 wide open IQ wise.

(I can see minor degradation with 1.4X TC wide open on R7 and with 2X on R5 - but not an issue to you ;-) )

So saved money here and got EF II.

How ugly it is if RF70-200/2.8 is not in white.

Hi Nimonus,

How did you make it black? Is the extending barrel covered too.

Cheers, Jim.
It’s done by decorative + protective lens stickers which is selling on model of the lens.

The extending barrier for zooming is not covered by most manufacturers. But I had seen someone covered it on YouTube.
