Hello Again,

If I track a subject sometimes an opportunity occurs. I'm waiting to get one that has merrit, but this one at least shows that there may someday be one worthwhile. Here is "Follow the Birdy".

These are tough because of changing lighting and focal distance, but I'm going to school on previous work shared here by THK or Adrian, can't recall which or if either are correct, but based on DOF issues.

I have a ways to go it seems.

I know what you are going through ~ I'm trying to capture a Heron or Great Egret flying low over the river. No luck yet!!!

I think you are ahead of me ~ well done!!

Looks like your patience paid off! Nice capture!

Does yuor C2100 have 'continuous autofocus'? If so, that might reduce some of the problem of variation in subject as you track.

I think that's a fantastic shot. Don't see a thing wrong with it. And you got it! By the time I got my camera out and messed with it, they'd be long gone :)

Losse,

Oh my, I think they are Zinfandels, but that is just a guess because all of the others around that area were Zin's.

And I critisize the Mrs. because she doesn't pay attention, LOL.

Trond,

To quote a friend that is a serious hunter, "If you are not out in the woods, you will never have a chance, and if you spend a lot of time in the woods your chances get much better; but if you are smart and spend much time in the woods....."
