Venezuelan Beauty Shots! This is what a model should look like

Sorry a 1/4 cto is a gel placed on the lights, usually I get 20x24" sheets, CTO= Color Temp Orange which changes the color temp from daylight (5500 degrees) to tungsten ((2900 degrees) = 1 full cto so 1/4 cto is less of a conversion it changes daylight (5500 degress) to 4500 degrees so it warms up the hair light which at times can appear cold.

Very basic setup here, two small softboxes on the background one 7
inch reflector with grid and 1/4 cto as a hair light, two mains,
one camera left 4 foot wide by 6 foot tall softbox camera right 5
foot octobank

Daylight whitebalance (played with in photoshop to warm and cool
later) iso 200,

is not always clean beauty, sometimes we actually cover the model in dried up mud and still call it fashion, if she looks good I may still say its verging on beauty, but at the moment I am branching out a bit here and there from strict beauty/glamour to edgy fashion, its what my market dictates, I prefer clean beauty myself but hey I only shoot what pays the most so I have to evolve with the market even if the markets taste seems to be bad to me. ;-)
...and as usual the lighting and execution are flawless, but IMO
the hair and makeup in this set are catastrophic.

But what do I know; I shoot soccer.

I think many of the people here don't read magazines like Zink, Numero, Tank, Pop, ID, Italian Vogue, Citizen K, this is very fitting within those magazines and that style, in fact its much better than much of what I see in many of them at times.

Keep it up! Changing styles or adding new styles is always good to do and I am sure the NY market "Gets It"
Well OK, these are more fashion than beauty but in my eye they
still fall under the catagory of Beauty.

So anyway I am Just posting a few new shots for your thoughts and
comments. This was one real fast test, just one look and I am
still having a hard time determining what color temp I like the
pictures better in, or maybe B&W or sepia, its tough but with a
model this photogenic it was so easy to get great shots. These are
pretty much as shot, this is what a model should look like,
retouching not needed! A rare find, she reminds me of what models
use to look like when retouching was not as easy and acceptable as
today, the models use to be more flawless, features more defined
and skin more perfect.

Let me know what you think and as always questions and comments are
welcome.

heres the link to a few shots and a few variations on color.

The girl is obviously hot -- but that black lipstick looks like someone socked her in the mouth. I'd try bright red lipstick & watch that shot take off.
