This is such a pity! I am enjoying this site so much. I learned about the various post processing s/w, camera experiences, but most of all enjoyed our weekly mini challenges, even much more since my retirement two years ago.

Is there anything we can do? Are there alternatives for the discussion forums?

Some years ago DPR reported that Imaging-Resource https://www.imaging-resource.com/ was shutting down. Now the opposite is happening. Such a pity:-(:-(:-(

What a shame. Perhaps an opportunity for someone to pick up where DPReview left off with a new, similar, site. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Yes, I hope so. But the new version would have to be self-funding. DPR probably needs a lot of funding from Amazon.

Sure is a pity!

This is sad news. First, there is the people on this board (I spent most of my time here on the Panasonic and the Sony Cyber-shot discussions), you are almost uniformly helpful, talented, and friendly. Most of what I learned about photography and processing I picked up here. You will be sorely missed.

saddens me

So sad. This site was like taking a photography course, only better—with friends. I have learned so much about the whole field of photography and benefited greatly from this avid and dynamic community of incredibly helpful enthusiasts. Many thanks to so many people for so many years.
