If you use Affinity Photo 2 and want to learn how to make simulated bokeh this short tutorial is very good.

You don't need to pay for an Adobe subscription to do this task! This tutorial demonstrates Affinity Photo's tools to get beautiful bokeh with the lens blur filter and compound masks.

He was demonstrating the concept, not teaching perfect masking.
 
I found the tutorial to be useful, so thank you! I have always struggled with the making simulated lens blur look natural and I feel this was a good way to do it.
