Well OK, these are more fashion than beauty but in my eye they still fall under the catagory of Beauty.

So anyway I am Just posting a few new shots for your thoughts and comments. This was one real fast test, just one look and I am still having a hard time determining what color temp I like the pictures better in, or maybe B&W or sepia, its tough but with a model this photogenic it was so easy to get great shots. These are pretty much as shot, this is what a model should look like, retouching not needed! A rare find, she reminds me of what models use to look like when retouching was not as easy and acceptable as today, the models use to be more flawless, features more defined and skin more perfect.

Let me know what you think and as always questions and comments are welcome.

Oh and before some of you say it the make up was intentionally heavy, the dark cheeks and very dark lips was an artistic move, I may actually blend it more later and see what I prefer but I am not unhappy with these results.

Great pictures as usual and a beautiful model! But what's with the color temp in the first one. Seems too cold. Color is better on the bottom image.

on the site there is also a warm version of that shot and a few others as well

I think I like the cold version myself but I am partial to that in my recent move away from my old maxim style. :)

I think with the background and the general look of the makeup and all, I like the coldness to it. People are too quick to criticize a colder looking pic, but I sometimes like that look depending on the situation. Nice work as usual.

I can kinda see what he's talking about...On the lower lip towards the middle, it looks like two little bumps...Could be reflections of the lighting with the bright lipstick?

with the sharpening done by breezebrowser, on the full file its not that pronunced a highlight but shrinking and sharpening may have been a bit too much. if and when I pick some to use online on my site I will have to look into that more.

On he lower lip, just left and right of center. In the second shot, her lower lip looks like it has two dark spots on it. In the third shot they show up as two lighter colored spots. They are probably most noticable in this shot. Maybe they are light reflections, but whatever the source, it sure takes away from her beauty, atleast for me.
Its very dark red lipstick, but I don't see any bumps, and nothing
under her lip, maybe its the shape of the lip? not sure what your
seeing let me know

you can see some selects from our first shoot, at http://www.nyphotographics.com/jennifertest the second is the front of her comp at the moment (though I prefer the third one myself)

I love the face on the 3rd and the 4th is very seductive with the look, the leather, and the cleavage.

u can see in the catchlight in her eyes, Stephen taking the shot in front of a 1m square softbox and a reflector below......am i right Stephen?

BTW like all the images....in the first session the makeup is cool except for one thing....dark lipstick usually looks good in closeups where u can see the details, and with shimmery/glittery makeup but from far it looks like black paint.

Very basic setup here, two small softboxes on the background one 7 inch reflector with grid and 1/4 cto as a hair light, two mains, one camera left 4 foot wide by 6 foot tall softbox camera right 5 foot octobank

Daylight whitebalance (played with in photoshop to warm and cool later) iso 200,
Nice shots! What was the lighting setup? Thanks!

Stephen, the other shots are great, no lip problem at all. Your signature self portrait in the catchlight is amazing. For the underinformed, what is 1/4 cto? Thanks, Chris.
