iPhone 13 - recommendations as travel phone - trip to Macchu Picchu?

Thanks for the kind remarks on my pics!

I did use the iPhone HEIC mode - it appears to allow more flexibility when editing (and reverting to original).

I also left the camera app on Live Photo - there were a couple of pics that allowed me to check and get just the right image!

Thanks for the heads up about the closure of Machu Picchu...

I was very lucky indeed - we visited Peru at the end of November 2022, and were actually at Machu Picchu when the previous President of Peru was impeached! As tourists we were oblivious of what was happening, as we were engrossed with the Incan Culture.

We left Lima about 2-3 days before the airports were closed and the disruptions took place - and entrance to Machu Picchu was closed..... so we were very fortunate!

I have to say that when we visited Peru as a whole, I felt very safe and secure. Granted - this was just before the demonstrations and political upheavals.

As with any world renowned tourist location (or any big city in the world) you take care of your belongings and keep a sharp eye out for anything around you out of the ordinary. Be aware and stay safe - good motto for travellers anywhere!
