Bliss (and Nancy and I) thank all of you sincerely for the well-wishes. They worked!
Yeah, we were unlucky (this happened on my property where the dogs have run through the woods many thousands of times with no issues). This could have easily been fatal. It was the right decision to dig deep and pay the emergency vet. It does bug me how they get away with charging such outrageous prices - I'm sure people of lesser means watch their dogs die because they simply can't pay thousands of dollars for something that should cost hundreds. To be fair, the emergency vet did a great job with her. At the end of the day for me, this is what money is for - to provide for those you love - not to buy more "stuff".
Bliss is doing great this morning - seems to be 100% back to her normal energetic, happy, very talkative self - amazing after that major injury. The challenge now is going to be to keep her from running and jumping for two weeks.
Good morning, guys!! "Gute Mariya" in PA Dutch

Watching the morning deer from the "observation deck" area of the house - one of her favorite perches.

Let's go for a RUN, Boss!!!

I'm sure we are going to be listening to a LOT of complaints over the next two weeks!
